Overnight, the US got involved in the fight against the Regime occupying Iran, used "bunker busters" and American "hoo-rah" fighting power. The strike hit the biggest nuclear facility in Qom, Iran causing major explosions while the Americans flew away chanting, "USA! USA! USA!"
Now let me make something very clear, I am not a fan of Donald Trump. I did not vote for him, either time he ran for president. His self interest and my personal values majorly do not align. His business practices, his way of treating women and minorities is abhorrent.
But, the misinformation being circled around the internet is not only dangerous but irresponsible. The "news" does not give a full picture so that people can make informed decisions. And people on the left have such strong Trump detachment syndrome that they can't see anything he does as correct.
Today, he made the call to make the world a safer place by using US power to take out a dangerous nuclear program that Israel couldn't do on its own.
A nuclear Iran is not only a threat to Jews in Israel, but the Druze, Christians, Muslims, Bahai, Gazans and Palestinians as well. Israel is so small that a nuclear threat also affects Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. It definitely affects America as well.
7:30am and as I'm writing, a warning just came through that Iran launched another barrage towards Israel.
7:42am and sirens are wailing. So I'll finish writing from my safe room.
To my very liberal friends, the ones that I am proud of for fighting for minority and marginalized groups rights. Fighting for women to have power and freedom. For LGBTQ+ rights... The ones that I would be standing next to if I still lived in America...
If you think that the Ayatollahs of Iran are peaceful people then you have definitely been duped. If you think that the Iranian people hate Israel (as occupying aggressors), then you have been lied to. If you think that anti-Zionism and antisemitism are totally different, you have been coerced.
I have written over 120 War Diary essays over the past 620 days trying to explain the truth. I am someone with nearly 15 years of lived experience in Israel, and has family here for generations. So if you don't get it by now, I'm guessing that unfortunately you never will.
