We have been living through a war for over 500 days now. Yesterday, Hamas announced who they will be releasing in the coming days of ceasefire hostage-prisioner exchange.
6 living hostages.
4 deceased (murdered).
Amoung the deceased, Hamas claims that the Bibas family was killed months ago.
Shiri, and her two boys Ariel (5) and Kfir (2). What sort of evil monsters kidnap and murder a mother and her babies?
When Daniella Gilboa was in captivity she was forced to film a propaganda video where she was pretended to be dead. Of course this was like, a cruel type of psychological torture for Daniella and her family.
Right now, that's the pain the Bibas family is enduring. Hamas claims that they were killed during an Israeli airstrike months ago.
Why were they in Gaza in the first place? They should never have been snatched so brutally from their beds, in their mother's arms.
Over the coming days, the truth will become apparent. Either, Hamas lied and Shiri was able to endure over 500 days of brutality while protecting her boys. In which case, based on the past few releases, I shudder to imagine the physical state of the family. Gaunt. Malnutritioned. Lack of air and sunshine.
Or, what we've been dreading the news to be has become a reality. In which case we will see the bodies of a mother and her two young children returned to Yarden, their husband/father. In this case, what state will these bodies be in? Abused, mutilated, tortured, starved, broken.. if this is true then I imagine the Israeli news will hold back on reporting some of the major details. So my prediction is that the further the media retreats from accurately reporting on Shiri, Ariel and Kfir, the worse their returned condition will be, no matter if they are alive or have been murdered.
The wait of the next few days is torturous. Which is exactly Hamas' point. To torture every one of us any time, any how. We are all connected to the Bibas family. Their pain and fear is being exploited and we want to help hold them up while their world crumbles around them.
So we wait for final confirmation of what we think we already know and until then, we pray for the miracle of miracles to be revealed to us.
Hopefully there is one thing and one thing only the world can agree upon... Kidnapping and murdering children is unequivocally wrong.
Full stop.
