Yesterday I turned 43.
43 years old.
43 laps around the sun.
43 distinctly different experiences.
This year feels definitely weighted and heavier. It's hard to focus on birthdays and celebrations when there is so much pain and suffering in the world. So much intolerance and hatred.
The biggest problem of today is the lack of desire to listen and remain open to discourse, debate, and differing opinions.
So for my birthday I ask each and every one of you to ask the hard questions, the uncomfortable ones, and really listen to the answers you receive. Stay calm, breathe, and listen. If so persuaded, allow yourself to change your mind.
We have spent almost 8 months screaming our truths from the rooftops into an online void.
What if we stopped screaming and started listening?
What if we started caring more about each other and each other's well being?
What if we stopped trying to drown out the noise with noise?
What if we started trying to put more light into the world (like I asked for when the war started)?
So for my 43rd lap around the sun, I ask that you do something kind for someone else.
- pay it forward
- give to charity
- help a stranger
- listen
- empathize
- feel
Thank you for the love.
I bless you all with a year filled with true peace, equality, and love.
🕊️✌🏼
Peace and love😘
