At approximately 15:00 this afternoon I was traveling home from my best friend's Purim birthday party.
A short drive from Kfar ElDaad to Tekoa takes less than 10 minutes door to door.
His arm cocked back, ready to throw something ,that I prayed was only a rock. I slammed on the gas and never felt so fortunate to have a turbo charger on my car.
My two daughters, my mother, my uncle, and my dog were all in the car.
(My girls didn't even realize anything happened.)
After pulling into my driveway at home I could hear explosions and popping in the distance echoing back up the hill.
Now, an hour and a half later... My breathing has calmed a bit and I'm trying to clearly understand what I just narrowly missed.
Even as we celebrate and enjoy every moment of Purim, we must not forget to be vigilant and aware of our surroundings... Even on a short drive home.
