Day 153 - March 7, 2024 - Dogs Know Better Than We Do

5 months

My family is in New York and it's quiet around the house. Our doggie, Betty, has been missing the girls and hasn't been loving the quiet. She started whining and wanted to go to run a bit at the park. The park she loves has one of my favorite views.
This view is one of the early views that captured my heart in my early years of living in Israel. It's so vastly different than the views I would see walking around my neighborhood in any place I lived in California. It always took my breath away. It still does.
The houses in the far distance, the distant hills, are those of Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
The world feels likes it's burning with rage and hatred and antisemitism... and yet at this park in the west bank, overlooking Bethlehem and Jerusalem... There are flowers blooming. There are rolling hills and a beautiful evening sky.
Betty knew that my eyes needed the break. That my soul needed the peace of right now. In this beautiful little walking park near our home.
Dogs know better than we do. 🐕❤️
