Day 29 - November 4, 2023 - She is a Woman

It's been a month since the war started and there are certain aspects of the brutality that I couldn't truly vocalize at first. Things that took me 30 days of mourning to attempt to begin to process.

⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️
Mentions of rape and brutality.
*

In 2017 when Yazidi women in Yemin were kidnapped by ISIS for human trafficking and sex slavery. Were we not outraged? Disgusted? Appalled? Fighting for oppressed women's rights internationally?

2017 was also the year that the #metoo movement went viral. Women (and men) from all over the world joined together and gave voice to the sexual depravity we've endured silently for generations.

I thought to myself then, thank Gd, because I hope that if I ever have girls they will not have to grow up in the same type of world that pardons rape and harassment that the rest of womankind has had to endure.

Yet here we are.

When I read the official news last week that Shani Louk, a German-Israeli, SuperNova festival attendee was officially announced among the dead, I wept. I didn't know her, but I wept for her from the depths of my soul.
Shani was kidnapped, raped and brutalized. Her body was paraded through the streets of Gaza and spat on like trash on October 7.
She was only identifiable by the DNA in a fracture of her skull that was recovered. Two doctors (specialists) and a rabbi determined that a person could not live with this type of injury. The IDF then informed the family of her death.

- Young women at a party.
- Girls. <-- yes, bodies of young girls were found to have been raped as well
- Mothers found stripped, bound, raped, and shot with their children and husband's lifeless bodies nearby.

What happened first? The murder or the rape? Did the family have to watch before they were killed?
Raped in some cases to the point they were gushing blood (as many videos and pictures by Hamas will attest to).

So not only did Hamas come to slaughter, they somehow got turned on enough by their bloodbath to be able to rape girls.

Do you understand the sick mindset yet?
Women, where are you?
Where is the outrage?
Don't we live in the #metoo era?

A month into a war that started by the most brutal and disgusting acts of human depravity imaginable.

Yet I keep reading articles about how Jews and Israel are being demonized globally. Even so brazenly stating that we somehow "deserve this".

We do not want war, but we will not forget or forgive the atrocities that started this.
Hamas must be eradicated like ISIS, Al Qaeda, and the Taliban before them. As we know, they will fight to the death for their extremist values of hate and intolerance and we will continue to fight back on behalf of ourselves and the modern world.

They chant, "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." Free of Jews. Because in their eyes, a dead Jew is the best kind of Jew.

To which we say...
Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱
May these beautiful beings be remembered by the whole of Israel as the blessings they were (and will continue to be).
