Why are Israeli and Jewish women so upset at silence of UN women's advocacy groups? Because on October 7 women and girls were raped, abused, murdered, and kidnapped.
International women's advocacy groups continue to stay silent with no condemnation of a terrorist organization's atrocities against women and girls. The Red Cross still has not been allowed to see the hostages.
So what does it mean when the news says women were "abused"?
Murdered. That's clear.
Kidnapped. We get it.
But what is abuse?
Let me paint a picture for you of what abuse means right now to Jewish women.
Trigger Warning Mentions of rape and abuse. Genitals cut off.
Breasts cut off.
Hands and feet bound.
Pelvic bones broken.
Dismemberment.
Eye gouging.
Disfigurement.
Girls tortured bodies found next to their mother's disfigured body. Father's bound and murdered nearby.
Fathers, do you hear this? Do you understand what was done to our daughters... In front of their fathers?
Mothers, where are you? Could you even stomach reading this far? Our babies. Our families. Ripped from our arms and so brutally raped and abused that volunteers from Zaka services are still, for 6 weeks now, sorting through remains trying to identify bodies.
Mothers... A woman pregnant in her 9th month was kidnapped by these same monsters. If she's alive, she's likely given birth by now. In some dark tunnel, alone, with no one to help her or her baby. No one to care for their screams, wipe tears, or give medication if needed.
I don't understand the silence.
These are crimes against humanity. War crimes of the most vicious kind.
Stand for the women and girls that can't speak for themselves. The ones Hamas murdered after their torture, abuse and rape.
Stand for the 240 hostages, including children and babies!
Stand for the traumatized festival survivors currently in mental wards from psychiatric breaks.
If you said #MeToo before, it's time take a stand again because as of now Israeli women are UNheard and UNimportant.
