Day 27 - November 2, 2023 - Reflections of War

War.

It should terrify you.
Horrify you.
Human life lost should upset you.
Shake you to your core
Push you to action.
It brings tears to your eyes.
Even makes you weep.
That's normal.
It's a perfectly acceptable reaction to tragedy and pain.
As the IDF encircles Gaza City, Hezbollah threatens the north, and the Houthis do the same in the south...
Your stomach should be in knots.
Mine is.
I'll wake up in the morning to read about more lives lost.
As painful as the last month has been, at this point we have to eliminate Hamas.
Their war crimes are atrocious.

We must do it for our children and for their children. To return life and dignity to Gazans denied such by their own government.
To provide a safe and secure land for our children to grow up in.

So as the pressure grows and we learn the meaning of war (that our parents and grandparents had warned us about) we must stay resilient about putting light and goodness into the world.

We must think about how to help Gazans "the day after" Hamas is decimated. How can we help Gazans find safe haven from their own government? (Albeit self elected and self imposed.) Where will they go? Sinai? Or will they go back to Gaza?

As we continue to have a microscope on our every move, we must remember our place in this world as the light to the nations.

🕯️ Our morality is in tact, and our resolve is united and strong.
